ICS visited the annual ServICE Conferences and Amy drew inspiration for a gender equality club initiative after hearing a feminist keynote.
1ST BRANCH : HOME BASE
February 2018
Fifty Fifty ICS becomes the first ever activism/ non-profit club at ICS. Without knowing it, this team has opened many doors for future activism clubs, and other similar feminist clubs by leading in example.
FIRST EVENT

In Celebration of International Women's Day, ICS Teachers along with hosts Amy & Aree put on a show for students to raise awareness for women's rights.

Applications open for executive committee members to build ICS' team.
FIRST SERVICE PROJECT

The club works with Samaritan's Creations - a local organization that empowers women to become more independent after a rough history of being in disadvantageous circumstances. We collect 10k to donate for a worthy cause.
DISCUSSION CIRCLES
August 2018-Present
Every weekly lunch meeting, the club decides to break into smaller groups and dig deeper on a global issue whether by reading and discussing on current events articles, analyzing mainstream movie clips, fundraising for local charities, or planning bigger school-wide events for advocacy.
ADVOCACY

Amy & Aree attend yet another 3-day ServICE conference, and learn from workshops led by youth leaders around Bangkok! They draw inspiration from tried-and-true models, and get ready to implement it in their own club!

SPEAKER SERIES

The ICS Community's administration, teachers, and students each gave a talk in the speaker series organised as a part of a 1-week event at ICS.
AWARENESS WEEK

We hosted one week of events around the school including informational posters, donation boxes to women's home (Pratthanadee Foundation) and a photobooth!
NAME CHANGE
April 2020
Before going international, we decided to rename ourselves from "Fifty Fifty" to "Fifty Squared" along with the launch of our new merch - all of the funds for which go to the Pratthanadee Foundation (an organization in Northeast Thailand we had partnered with)!
2ND BRANCH : GOING INTERNATIONAL

"I NEED FEMINISM BECAUSE..." PROJECT

We created a photo series initiative that 60+ students in international schools & universities from around Asia, Australia, Africa, & North America got involved in to spread the message about the needed urgency for feminism today.

Bethan McClean is the official head of a team of 10 at the St.Andrews Branch of Fifty Squared.
4TH BRANCH : IPS

IPS requests to be a part of the Fifty Squared Family and leads the blogs and publishing content.

FIRST TRIP

Fifty Squared comes together to take a trip to the north of Thailand to work one-on-one in workshops for disadvantaged women. Unfortunately, this trip has been canceled till further notice due to unforeseen political situations in Thailand.
THE RED BOX DRIVE

Fifty Squared sets up red shoeboxes around campus in every school they're a part of to collect sanitary products or funds for sanitary products to:
Destigmatize menstrual health
Raise funds to donate to Pratthanadee Foundation - where women can't afford basic hygiene necessities.
UN AFFILIATION
November 2020
Fifty Squared wins a Youth-Led Club Competition and gets the rare opportunity to meet & learn from the esteemed UN Head of Thailand himself at ESCAP!
5TH BRANCH : SPMC

Fifty Squared reaches another country! This time, a medical college in Bikaner! Sardar Patel Medical College is now part of the family of activists changing the world!
6TH BRANCH: JNVU
